Timeline of Iran's Nuclear Program

As attempts to reach a nuclear deal between the P5+1 countries and Iran continue in Lausanne - after overrunning a self-imposed deadline of March 31 - IranWire has put together a timeline of Iran’s nuclear program to shed some light into how the situation has come to be today. From when the US first signed a nuclear agreement with Iran in 1957 to Iran joining the Non-Proliferation Treaty in the late 1960s, as well as Iran building its first nuclear power plant in Bushehr in the mid-1970s and many other key historical events, this timeline is an interesting and vital insight into understanding the complex and constantly-evolving issue of Iran’s nuclear program.
