The Iranian state continues to insist that mass demonstrations across Iran are the result of an "enemy conspiracy", while knowing the real cause is the tidal wave of public anger and hatred of the regime unleashed by the killing of Mahsa Amini by Tehran's "morality police". In what might elsewhere be regarded as a classic example of interference, security forces are now engaged in killing protesters on the streets while cutting off Iranians' access to the internet.
